WHO WANTS FREE FOOD ?COMMUNITY FRIDGES TORONTO !

Coming from years of experience in the restaurant industry in Toronto, and in cities across the world, one thing that always annoyed me extremely was the amount of waste that got thrown out on a continuous daily basis from all venues in all cities.

With respect to some of the owners there are rules and guidelines set in place in case anyone was to get contaminated or food poisoning from handouts.

Today as we know, we are in different times, not a lot of money is flying around, and well the food industry still has waste.

Great news Toronto.

Restaurants are putting fridges out front establishments that are full of free food and accessible 24 hours a day to address issues of food insecurity in the local community.

You can find the fridges outside Ten in Little Italy, and while there may only be a couple now, they're already about to have more.

There is an abundance of different restaurants jumping in on this fantastic cause, there's some information here below.

I'm ever so happy the restaurant industry is getting involved with this and the people in the community at the community level,

And this gives us a proud Torontonian moment.

Don't forget maybe you might not need food but maybe they do drop on by and fill the fridge yourself.

This could be a golden opportunity to pay it forward and do an unselfish act.
