According to DJ Magazine's MARTIN GUTTRIDGE-HEWITT 'S statement...

"Chicago house legend Paul Johnson is in an intensive care unit (ICU) after becoming infected with Covid-19"

Johnson shared the news on Sunday (18th July) when he posted a video via Instagram from his hospital bed. This was followed by two further Instagram posts on Monday and Tuesday, with the letter confirming that he was being transferred to ICU.

"Shits taken A TURN for the worse," Johnson wrote in the video's caption. "Next is to transfer me to downtown and [sic] a full throat ventilator.

Meaning I will not be breathing for myself."

Responses and messages of support have poured in from across the global dance music industry and community. (End)
