You thought the Canada Revenue Agency was annoying, but the IRS does not play games. Your property taxes will spike aggressively to cover the local services you used to get subsidized. The entire social fabric of your community gets rewritten overnight by a federal government that views you as just another piece of real estate. The gun laws change entirely, the crime rates shift dramatically, and you are left navigating a brutal insurance racket. You are trading a flawed but functional system for complete chaos.
